Ogden Theater is treat for the senses

The new Ogden Theater is a treat for the senses, as well, with ornamental steel rails, a beautiful, hand-crafted bar on the upper-tier balcony and a whimsical, color-saturated interior by decorative painter Karin Mirick, owner of Denvers Create a Scene. Even the bathrooms have been remodeled. The theaters original proscenium remains intact, however, as do many of the design flourishes built by the original architects. As a feat of design and an investment in the revitalization of Colfax, the new Ogden is an instant classic.
he stage lighting, not that I care all that much, was rudimentary at best. Sometimes the stage/artist would be washed in blue light. then red. then…hold on to your hats, red AND blue! Sometimes, even yellow! Whoa. The sound system is nothing special, either. Think glorified hi-fi.
