Toy Military Tanks and also Toy Military Trucks –

June 20, 2010 - 2:05 pm No Comments

I remember when I came to be a small boy I became so into tanks. First of all it was initially my plastic soldier set and also toy army tanks – often either British, American and/or German were the very best models then it graduated to a British Scorpion tank in order to enhance my Action Man collection. I’m sure that cost me a total of 5 sterling long ago during these times thus I had to pay it over months by way of the catalogue. Goodness me, these were the days! In any case, modern toy army tanks are generally no less than in times long gone by, how about we check out several which are on offer that are going to encaptivate your own son as much as it did me while I was so very much more youthful than I am these days!

Bottle Nostalgia

Collecting bottles can be fun. This is particularly the case for people with a nostalgic streak in them. They may remember milk being delivered in bottles in the past, or remember stories of medicines coming in interesting bottles. They then can become quite excited about finding old bottles from the past.

But how you do know whether a bottle is rare or not? And how much it’s worth? There are many factors which affect a bottle’s value, including it’s age, it’s color, condition, whether it has any writing on it, and of course whether it comes from any particular limited production. To get an expert opinion though, you may need to get an assessment from an antique dealer, either online or locally.

Happy Birthday — A Model Train Hobbist Is Born!

June 4, 2010 - 11:09 am No Comments

Well, my daughter just turned 10. I decided to give her one of the best gifts in the world. I started her out with her very own model railroad.

Sure, it’s nothing too elaborate, but she sure was excited about it. You should have seen the look on her face! She’s really taken with it! Now we can spend time working on our trains together. I mean, my layout has kind of been ‘hands off’ for most of her life. Now she can feel more included when I’m at work.
I give it just a few more years until she graduates up to more complex kits and maybe one day she’ll even be working on trains o scale craftsman kits on her own!

What a great future we have in store!
