    @Hoodoo04 Come off …
    @Hoodoo04 Come off it, it’s swings and roundabouts. Have u seen some of the on mainstream British TV, for every Office or Peep Show you have about 5 Life of Riley’s or My Family’s. There is some amazing American comedy; ala Curb Your Enthusiasm or Arrested Development.

    I do feel though on the whole Britain produces more refined and wittier shows, but by no means does America produce just 3rd rate comedies.

    I am sick to …
    I am sick to death of the ENDLESS and moronic “is the US version better than the UK version?” non-’debate’. Who cares? Watch this video, or don’t watch it.

    “get back to work …
    “get back to work you little nerd”
    Brilliant!

    The American one is …
    The American one is just embarrassingly executed in comparison to the British masterpiece. Barely any episodes of it unfortunately but still better.

  6. danielspital Says:

    the American office …
    the American office sucked all the subtlety and clever humour out of the programme.

  7. hlfsinger Says:

    Yeh the UK version …
    Yeh the UK version personally is alot better than the us, Better humor, better cast, better acting its actually a documentary not a comedy series that the us have tried to do. Its a shame they attempted to remake it, it cant and doesnt compare to the original at all.

  8. Hoodoo04 Says:

    UK version by a …
    UK version by a small mile…
    Rarely are the franchises as good as the original and that is certainly the case here.
    I fear that most Americans on here are born without a sense of humour seeing the constant rubbish their nation dribbles out each year.
    Two & Half Men? Please…
    And I don’t live in either USA or UK.
    Ricky Gervais! Long live the king!

    @DirtyCurtDCN8

    the humour likely eludes you….they big time dumbed-it-down for the americans….made the humour more inane and ridiculous….americans really only get blatant slapstick and goofiness…..LMAO….pwned

  12. Landrew0 Says:

    Did someone slow …
    Did someone slow this down to half-speed for the Americans?

    @PokerPlum so if we DON’T think irony is something that flattens clothes what do we think it means genius? Your country sucks dick wherever it is and when you throw stones make sure you know what you’re talking about. U-S-A! U-S-A!

  18. daxiboi Says:

    @videogamenostalgia …
    @videogamenostalgia yeh i was pretty drunk, I didnt mean they thought it was a documentary but alot of people to begin with just didnt get what the show was about and it took time to catch on.

  19. videogamenostalgia Says:

    @daxiboi That …
    @daxiboi That comment makes no sense at all. It has credits at the end of which actor played who. After the titles at the beginning, it says ‘Written by Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant’. Of course everyone thought it was a sitcom; No-one could possible have thought it was a documentary. There have never been any reports of this happening. I agree with your point, but don’t make up.

  20. alltoohuman17 Says:

    You’re jealous of …
    You’re jealous of them.

  21. PokerPlum Says:

    I really can’t …
    I really can’t stand Americans. Every stereotype about them is true – they’re fat, loud, over patriotic and they don’t think “irony” is something that flattens clothes.

  22. SilverdaleDubs Says:

    Genius!!
    Genius!!

  23. daxiboi Says:

    To begin with even …
    To begin with even the uk didnt realise that The Office was a sitcom they thought it was an actual documentary that was what was so ingenius about it. English humour is “generally” funnier but that doesnt mean the us cant do it, such as “The Simpsons” probably the most successful comedy of all time,

  24. daxiboi Says:

    Not entirly true …
    Not entirly true ricky gervais made both series of the office both american and english/british its not obviously a different type of humor as both series use the same type, its just different references

  25. Sage395 Says:

    The UK version …
    The UK version actually has style. The jokes are told with intellect, rather than “that’s what she said”.
