What small repairs will add value to your home?
My house was built in 1957, it is old, but sturdy. Each year at tax time, I put money back into my house to raise the value. I don’t have much money, so I am looking for small repairs to increase value. I want to replace the interior doors so they look like those in newer homes. Will this increase value and what other small jobs will increase value?
replacing the doors will increase your home’s value a little. keeping your walls looking nice with a fresh coat of paint every few years and maybe "updating" the kitchen cabinets with a new coat of paint and new fixtures will help some. updating lighting, like installing a few nice ceiling fans or small chandeliers would help.
as for the outside of your house, paint it if the house is looking shabby, or rent a pressure washer and wash the house if the paint looks good. curb appeal increases home values, so make sure that your yard is maintained. A few well placed plants and flowers can make a big difference, as well as a bottle of grass seed if your yard is patchy.
other than that, keep up on your house’s maintenance. make sure the gutters are in good repair since that helps maintain your roof.

New, well-done paint.
Landscaping.
Replacing fixtures and/or appliances in kitchen and bathroom (kitchen remodeling is the change that increases value the most).
Energy-efficient windows.

I think that’s a great start… doors do add alot!
Like the others mentioned… PAINT makes a room look 100% better.. it’s like a make over, the only problem is that of course it fades and if you’re not looking to sell now then I would’nt be in a huge rush to do that.
A nice garden tub would be nice.
Light fixtures, chandelers, etc
Landscaping!!!
Big porch.. concrete or rock concrete.. ooo so pretty..
